Originally located in
New Liskeard, Ontario, Nova Wood
Lamination Inc. was founded in 1989 by
Frank and Donna Decicco. In 1998, Nova Wood
outgrew its original facility and moved to its
current location at 21 Balzer Road in Kitchener, where once again, Nova Wood
quickly grew and promptly started the
first of several expansions. In
the year 2000, Nova Wood's
manufacturing facility was expanded from 20,000 square feet to
32,500 square feet with the addition of a new Shipping &
Receiving warehouse. In
2003, the next expansion was completed to accommodate
our new multi-opening hot press, which increased the facilities square
footage to 40,000. And again, in 2004 the building was expanded once
more, to upwards of 50,000 square feet, in order to accommodate our
requirements for more warehousing space. Since
relocation to Kitchener, Nova Wood
has invested heavily in
new equipment and technology to become an industry leader. The
addition of the new "State of The Art" MULTI
OPENING PRESSING LINE, in August of 2003, has increased
production to 3500 panels per day.
The installation of a new 5' Heeseman Sander, in the spring of 2006,
will allow Nova Wood
the ability to sand not only
5' wide panels, but cross grain panels as well.
It is this commitment to continuous capital improvement that
has positioned Nova Wood
Lamination Inc. among the
top of the most reliable suppliers of hardwood plywood panels in the
industry.
